The dimensions of the head are 19W x 9 ¾H x 9 1/2D. As you see in the photos, the case is heavy duty, with thick foam, aluminium tongues and grooves, large recessed latches, recessed handles with rubber grips, and steel ball corners. This is no ordinary Van Zandt set.
The neck and middle are the SUPER RARE Fullertone series that W.L. Van Zandt wired right before he passed in 1997.
The Middle Pickup is Reverse Wound.
These where purchased from Performance Guitar - Los Angeles in 1999.
Legend has it they are made from the same wire used to rewind SRV's Number One, the wire is no longer made.
No doubt they sound great - Basically a 50's overwound. 3D with bite and warmth.
The Bridge is the overwound Rock model. Lots of output with more clarity than most at this level.
